Black Walnut Walking Staff

This is a 57 inch high black walnut walking staff I made from a black walnut plank that was air dried for about 20 years it has a very nice deep dark grain in the wood it is about 1 and one quarter inches in diameter.

I finished it with many hand rubbed coats of a non-toxic oil to protect the wood, after each coat of oil I hand sanded it with finer grit of emery paper, the last one used was 1500 grit.
